Sick and scared
When I got home this evening, I wasn't feeling too well. My head was spinning, my throat was itchy and I was barely standing. I feared that I might have gotten the flu from my co-worker. He had been sick for two days. I wondered why he hadn't stayed at home instead of coming to the office and getting all of us sick?
As I entered at home, I headed straight to the washroom. I thought of taking a hot bath, have a warm soup and go to bed early. I was exhausted. My body needed to rest, otherwise it was shutting down. I was feeling so bad, that I did not even notice that my wife and two of her friends were on the balcony, having a drink.
Thinking that I was home alone, I stripped and went to have a bath. While I was having my hot hot bath, someone entered the washroom. I was not able to see who it was, because I had my eye mask on. All I heard was a high pitch scream and the door being slammed. I got startled as well, not knowing what just happened.
Two second later, my wife walked in and clarified everything. She was surprised to see me there. She was not aware that I got home earlier. Otherwise she would not have sent her friend to look for a open skin pores cream in our washroom.
Seeing that I looked like crap, she offered to make me a soup and bring it to my bed, once I was done having my bath. Probably she wanted to ensure I was not going to scare any of her friends. It's not like I would have showed up naked in the living room while she was having guests.
Ever since we moved in together, once I knew she had company, I never bothered her. I stayed in our bedroom and watched a game or a movie. I don't really like to hang out with her girl friends. I found them very immature. Not to mention that I could not stand the princess type attitude. Often I wondered what did they have in common? My Sarah was not like that.
Half an hour after I had my soup, I fell asleep with the laptop right next to me in the bed. Luckily Sarah closed it and placed it on the night stand, otherwise it would have been damaged.
